How does data scale?
The matter with data is about the metric. We always talk about amount of data, but what are we talking about exactly?
Here a short video clip we made, inspired by an article from ReadWriteWeb, to understand why it is the rise of Big Data:
Every step, we multiply by 1024.
Every year, humanity puts around 1.2 zettabytes on Internet. Now, you have a concrete idea of the meaning of a mega, a giga, a tera, etc.
